When you perform a search the database returns a list of results that match your search terms. By default, the results will be sorted in order of relevance. Click the arrow to the right of Relevance to see other options for sorting your results.
1. The search for "medical records" AND electronic returned 15,512 results.
2. Information about your search is displayed in the top left of the page.
3. You can choose to limit your results, for example you may only be interested in full text or peer reviewed articles.
4. A HTML or PDF icon indicates the Full Text is available for viewing online/download.
5. An icon to the left of each result tells you what the source type for that result is.
6. You can choose to filter your results according to their source types, for example you may only want to see academic journals.
7. Click on the magnifying glass icon to read a summary of the result and find out quickly if it is useful to you.
8. Click on a result's title link to see more detailed information about the result.
9. Click on the blue folder icon to add the items to a folder. We recommend logging into your MyEBSCO account before saving articles to folders. If you are not signed into your MyEBSCO account, the folder will only be available until the end of your session.
Record Details Page
Clicking on the title link of a search result will open a detailed record page for that result.
1. Click on an Author name link to see more works by that author.
2. Click on the Source name link to go to the home page for that source, e.g. a journal home page.
3. Click on a Subject Term link to see more results using that subject term.
4. Author-supplied Keywords may be useful when doing new searches.
5. Browse the Abstract to quickly see if the article is useful.
6. Make use of the Find Similar Results feature to explore more articles from the same topic.
7. When viewing an article, there are several Tools available to you on the right-hand side of the screen.
