A Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is an alphanumeric string that permanently identifies a digital object. DOI links are permanent links you can use to cite and access electronic articles. When you see a DOI link, you can usually click it to access the article if the library has a subscription or if it's open access. If you see a DOI in print or it's not clickable online you can search Emerald Insight for the article.
Here is an example of a DOI: doi:10.1108/JEA-08-2024-0287

To search for an article by it's DOI:
Go to the Advanced Search page
Scroll down the page to DOI Search. Enter the DOI for the article and click Search.
If the article is available in Emerald Insight, a search results page with the article's details will display.
If you haven't logged in with your MTU library username and password, you'll be prompted to do so, before accessing the article.
